Jobseekers answer a few questions in a chat and leave with a PDF they can send to an employer, free and from a phone. SokoJob says too many good candidates in Ghana are turned down before anyone reads past their CV.
ACCRA, Ghana — 27 October 2026 — SokoJob, a Ghana-focused recruitment platform, has launched a free AI CV builder. It turns a short conversation into a finished CV, then shows the jobseeker vacancies that match the role they described.
The builder has been live since July. Before it, finishing a CV on SokoJob was usually a job for another day: only one jobseeker in fifteen had theirs done within two days of starting. Since July it is one in four, and the typical one of them is finished in about an hour. Over the same six weeks, more than three times as many CVs were published on the platform. Four in five of the more than 2,800 CVs created since the launch have already been used to apply for a job. SokoJob now has more than 10,000 published profiles, up from 7,500 in July.
The first filter in Ghanaian hiring
For most vacancies in Ghana, the CV is the first thing an employer sees. Often it is the only thing they read before deciding whom to call. Capable people end up with CVs that do not say what they can do, in formats an employer has to work to read.
“A strong candidate with a weak CV looks exactly like a weak candidate; it is mistaken for the measure of his/her worth, and too often we watch talented people lose out before a single conversation takes place. The AI CV Builder makes sure the first page an employer reads is a fair picture of the person,” said Roberta Mensah, Strategy Manager at SokoJob.
A conversation instead of a blank page
The SokoJob CV Builder starts with a chat instead of an empty template. The assistant asks what role the jobseeker wants, then about their experience, skills and education, and writes each section from those plain answers.
Next, the jobseeker picks one of 10 templates laid out to be easy for recruiters to scan, and downloads a PDF that opens on any device. Everything works on a phone, with no laptop or design skills needed. Building, previewing and downloading a CV is free and needs no account; that version carries a small SokoJob watermark. A free SokoJob account removes the watermark and saves the CV to the jobseeker’s profile.
From CV to vacancy in one place
Most CV tools stop at the download. The SokoJob CV Builder is part of a job platform, so the finished CV can be used straight away. A “Find jobs for my role” button opens the vacancies that match the role the candidate described, and the same CV goes with every application made on SokoJob.
With an account, the CV also becomes part of the candidate’s profile, which is what employers on SokoJob look through when they search for people to hire.
Take a hairdresser in Kumasi with eight years behind the chair. Asked in the chat what she does day to day, she might mention braiding, colouring, training two apprentices and keeping the salon’s books. The builder turns those answers into a CV that says so, and the same CV is what a salon owner looking for staff would see.
Verified employers on the other side
SokoJob checks the companies behind the vacancies it lists.
“Jobseekers in Ghana have learned to be careful with job adverts, and they are right to be. Helping someone write a strong CV is only half the job; it has to reach employers they can trust. Our commitment is to give people the means to present themselves well and the confidence that what they are applying to is worth their trust,” Mensah said.
