Nestadia is the trust infrastructure for cross-border real estate. The Lead Civil Engineer serves as our independent technical verification authority in Ghana. In this role, you will establish that properties physically exist, construction meets credible standards, and developments progress as claimed. You will also technically vet developers' past projects to inform Nestadia's partnership decisions.

Responsibilities
1. Property & Progress Verification
  • Site Inspections: Confirm physical existence, exact location, and project status.
  • Specification Audits: Validate building specifications against developer documentation.
  • Milestone Tracking: Independently verify construction progress for off-plan developments to inform escrow release decisions.

2. Evidence Capture & Reporting
  • Mobile Evidence: Capture authentic, geo-tagged, and timestamped photos/videos using Nestadia’s mobile tools.
  • Report Generation: Produce clear, structured technical verification reports and evidence packages in English.

3. Quality, Risk, & Developer Vetting
  • Quality Assessment: Evaluate workmanship, structural integrity, and adherence to standards while identifying visible defects.
  • Developer Vetting: Inspect past and current projects to assess a developer's track record and build quality (purely for partnership assessment, not recruitment or negotiation).
  • Escalation: Identify and escalate issues requiring specialist structural or title reviews.

Requirements:
  • Experience: 3 to 7+ years in site supervision, building inspection, or construction QA within Ghana.
  • Certification: Registered Civil or Structural Engineer with the Ghana Institution of Engineering (GhIE) or equivalent.
  • Domain Knowledge: Strong understanding of local building codes, construction risks, and the Accra development landscape.
  • Tech & Communication: Comfortable using smartphone/tablet apps for evidence capture; excellent structured English reporting skills (sample report preferred).
  • Mindset: Uncompromising objectivity with the backbone to deliver unfavorable findings under pressure.
  • Experience with off-plan or pre-construction inspections.
  • Familiarity with the GREDA developer landscape.
  • A background in technical due diligence or quantity surveying.

Key Deliverables
1- Verified Site Reports: Objective, structured inspection reports detailing property existence and quality from Government entities.
2- Auditable Media Packages: Complete, geo-tagged, and timestamped photo/video evidence.
3- Developer Technical Assessments: Independent track-record evaluations to inform partnership onboarding.
