We're looking for a creative, self-driven video maker to join our team and help us tell authentic stories about work, careers, and opportunities in Ghana.

What you'll do
As our video creator, you'll be responsible for conceptualizing, filming, and editing engaging video content for our social media channels (TikTok, Instagram Reels, LinkedIn, and Facebook).
Your weekly tasks:
  • Filming (on location in Accra)
  • Conduct and film short, authentic interviews with job seekers, employers, and team members
  • Capture "talking head" style videos with our team — quick career tips, company updates, reactions
  • Shoot B-roll and reportage-style footage at events, partner meetings, or around Accra to show the "real SokoJob"
  • Create light, creative videos that fit social media trends and formats
Ideation:
  • Brainstorm 3-5 video concepts each week based on trends, audience questions, and our content goals
  • Stay on top of what's working on TikTok and Instagram in Ghana — sounds, formats, memes
  • Editing
  • Edit raw footage into polished, engaging 15-60 second videos optimized for each platform
  • Add captions, music, transitions, and basic effects
  • Deliver 3 finished videos per week ready for posting
Equipment you'll need
  • Smartphone with good camera quality (iPhone or high-end Android)
  • Lavalier microphone (wired or wireless) for clean audio during interviews
  • Basic lighting kit (or any portable light source for indoor shoots)
  • Sturdy tripod for stable shots
  • No professional camera equipment required - we believe great content comes from creativity, not expensive gear.
What we're looking for
Must-haves:
  • Based in Accra, Ghana (or nearby with ability to travel to Accra for shoots)
  • Experience filming with smartphone
  • Comfortable editing on mobile (CapCut, InShot) or desktop (Premiere Pro, DaVinci)
  • Fluent in English
  • Understanding of what works on TikTok and Instagram Reels - pacing, hooks, trends
  • Reliable and able to deliver 3 videos every week
  • Own basic equipment (phone, mic, light, tripod)
Nice-to-haves:
  • Existing portfolio of social media content (personal or professional)
  • Interest in careers, job hunting, HR, or startups
