Support food preparation and cooking, maintain kitchen hygiene, assist with prep lists, and ensure timely delivery of quality dishes according to set recipes and standards.
Specific requirements
• Assist with prepping ingredients, portioning and basic cooking as assigned
• Follow recipes, plating standards, and kitchen instructions accurately
• Maintain cleanliness of work areas, utensils, and storage areas; follow HACCP-style hygiene practices
• Support stock rotation (FIFO), storage, and waste control
• Work efficiently during peak periods and support event production
Qualification & experience
• NVTI/CTVET certificate, catering/culinary training or equivalent practical training is an advantage
• Minimum 1–3 years’ experience in a commercial kitchen or similar setting
• Knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and safe handling of kitchen equipment
• Ability to stand for long periods and work shifts/weekends
