We are seeking an experienced Building Engineer to oversee and manage all engineering and construction activities across our real estate projects in Accra. The role is responsible for ensuring quality construction, regulatory compliance, safety standards, and efficient delivery of multiple developments.
Key Responsibilities
• Supervise and coordinate construction activities across multiple sites
• Ensure works comply with approved architectural, structural, and MEP drawings
• Oversee installation and commissioning of building systems (electrical, plumbing, HVAC, fire, water, generators, etc. )
• Manage contractors, subcontractors, and consultants
• Conduct site inspections to ensure quality, safety, and compliance
• Coordinate approvals and inspections with regulatory authorities
• Oversee snagging, defects rectification, and project handover
• Support maintenance of completed properties
• Monitor project schedules, costs, and technical variations
• Prepare technical and progress reports for management
Regulatory, Quality & Safety
• Ensure compliance with Ghana Building Code, EPA, Fire Service, and local authority requirements
• Implement quality control and safety procedures across all sites
• Enforce HSE standards and safe work practices
Qualifications & Experience
• HND or Bachelor’s Degree in Building Technology, Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering
• Minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience in building construction or real estate development
• Experience managing multiple projects is a strong advantage
• Membership of a relevant professional body is an added advantage
Technical & Personal Skills
• Strong knowledge of building construction and MEP systems
• Ability to interpret drawings and specifications
• Good leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Strong attention to quality, safety, and detail
