Job Summary
We are seeking a high-performing and strategic Sales Manager to lead our business development efforts in the shipping and logistics sector. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving revenue growth, building and maintaining key client relationships, and expanding market share in freight forwarding, import/export, and logistics solutions.
Key Responsibilities
• • Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve company growth targets in shipping, logistics, and freight forwarding services.
• • Identify new business opportunities and actively pursue prospective clients in import/export, maritime, warehousing, and inland transportation.
• • Manage and grow a portfolio of corporate clients while ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
• • Lead sales negotiations and pricing discussions in alignment with the company’s commercial strategy.
• • Prepare and deliver compelling sales proposals, presentations, and solutions tailored to client needs.
• • Coordinate closely with operations and customer service teams to ensure efficient execution of logistics services.
• • Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and regulatory updates to inform sales strategy.
• • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client engagements, and revenue forecasts.
• • Recruit, train, and supervise a small team of sales executives or account managers.
• • Represent the company at logistics exhibitions, conferences, and networking events.
Qualifications and Requirements
• • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain, Maritime Studies, or a related field.
• • Minimum of 4–7 years’ experience in sales or business development within the shipping, freight forwarding, or logistics industry.
• • Proven track record in achieving sales targets and developing key accounts.
• • Strong understanding of Incoterms, customs procedures, and international trade regulations.
• • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• • Proficient in CRM systems, Microsoft Office, and digital sales tools.
• • A valid driver’s license and willingness to travel as needed.
