Job Title: Content Creation Assistant – Video (National Service Personnel)
Job Summary:
We are looking for a resourceful and imaginative Content Creation Assistant (Video) to join our Communications team under the National Service Scheme. The ideal candidate will play a key supporting role in the conceptualisation, development, and production of visually engaging video content across a variety of formats and platforms, for both client-facing projects and internal initiatives.
This role offers the unique opportunity to contribute to creative storytelling and brand positioning across industries by producing content that supports marketing campaigns, thought leadership, digital presence, stakeholder engagement, and organizational visibility.
Key Responsibilities:
Client Focused Content Development
• Collaborate with the Communications teams to understand client briefs, brand tone, and content objectives.
• Assist in producing client videos such as brand stories, campaign reels, social media ads, testimonials, explainer videos, and promotional content.
• Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute creative concepts tailored to client strategies.
• Ensure that all client related content adheres to brand guidelines, project timelines, and quality expectations.
Internal Content Creation
• Support in house video production including internal campaigns, project documentation, thought leadership snippets, and event highlights.
• Film and edit interviews, panel discussions, and office events for internal and external distribution.
• Assist in scripting and storyboarding for video content to ensure compelling narratives.
Technical Production and Post Production
• Set up and operate video recording equipment (cameras, microphones, lighting, etc.) during field and studio shoots.
• Edit raw footage into high-quality deliverables using professional software such as Adobe Pro, Cap Cut Pro etc
• Incorporate graphics, subtitles, transitions, and sound design to enhance visual storytelling.
• Maintain consistent file management, naming conventions, and video archiving practices.
Cross Functional Collaboration
• Work closely with the Graphic Design team and Digital Communication team to integrate visual assets across campaigns.
• Coordinate with clients and internal teams to schedule shoots, interviews, and production reviews.
• Stay abreast of emerging trends in video content, formats, and platform specific requirements (e.g. reels trends, YouTube shorts).
Preferred Skills and Competencies:
• A strong interest in brand storytelling and communication.
• Practical knowledge of video editing software and digital storytelling tools.
• An eye for detail, composition, sound, and pacing in visual content.
• Good understanding of various digital platforms and their content requirements.
• Ability to manage projects and meet deadlines.
• Proactive, collaborative, and eager to learn in a fast-paced, creative environment.
Qualification:
• A recent graduate from a recognized tertiary institution with relevant coursework or experience in film production, content
creation, communications or related fields.
• Prior internship, freelance, or academic experience in video production is a plus.
