Dental Surgery Assistant (Orthodontic Assistant)
Location: Atomic Junction – Haatso (North Legon), Accra
Salary: GHS 3, 500 – GHS 4, 500 per month
Job Summary
A reputable dental clinic around Atomic Junction, Haatso (North Legon), is seeking a responsible, friendly and detail-oriented Dental Surgery Assistant (Orthodontic Assistant) to support dentists and orthodontists in providing quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist dentists and orthodontists during dental and orthodontic procedures.
- Prepare and sterilise dental instruments and equipment.
- Prepare patients for dental treatments and provide basic patient support.
- Maintain a clean, safe and hygienic clinical environment.
- Assist with dental impressions, X-rays and other clinical procedures as required.
- Maintain patient records and assist with appointment scheduling.
- Provide patients with basic post-treatment care instructions.
Requirements
- Certificate or qualification in Dental Surgery Assisting, Dental Nursing or a related field.
- Previous experience in a dental clinic, preferably in orthodontics.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of dental hygiene, sterilisation and infection prevention.
- Must be professional, organised, patient and attentive to detail.
- Ability to work effectively as 35part of a team.
