About the Role
In collaboration with Opportunity International Savings and Loans Agoo is seeking a Female Project Manager to oversee the implementation of an initiative aimed at empowering 10,000 women entrepreneurs across Ghana. This role calls for a results-driven leader who is passionate about women’s economic empowerment, financial inclusion, and business growth.
Key Responsibilities
Project Management and Execution
• Lead and coordinate the rollout of the loan disbursement for female entrepreneurs.
• Develop and oversee project timelines, budgets, and deliverables in line with strategic objectives.
• Work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
• Monitor the launch of the loan application portal (Agoo platform) and ensure a seamless and user-friendly experience for applicants.
Stakeholder Engagement and Partnerships
• Serve as the main liaison between Opportunity International Savings and Loans, Agoo, investors, and beneficiaries.
• Engage with OISL, development partners, and mentors to strengthen the program.
• Build and maintain relationships with women’s advocacy groups, women’s business associations and organizations, women’s groups in churches and mosques etc.
Financial and Business Support Oversight
• Oversee financial literacy training and mentorship sessions for participants.
• Ensure loan recipients receive adequate support in financial management, business planning, and sustainability.
• Monitor feedback and make recommendations to improve loan products and business support services.
Monitoring, Reporting, and Impact Assessment
• Establish clear performance indicators to evaluate the program’s success.
• Prepare regular reports on progress, impact, and key lessons for partners and stakeholders.
• Identify potential risks and suggest strategies to address them.
Qualifications and Experience
• A bachelor’s or master’s degree in project management, business administration, finance, or a related field.
• At least three years of experience in project management, financial inclusion, or business development.
• Strong understanding of women-led businesses, microfinance, and financial literacy.
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects with multiple stakeholders.
• Experience with donor-funded or investment-related projects is an advantage.
