Position: Transport Manager
Location: Lashibi
Salary: GHS 4, 000 – 5, 000

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Transport Manager to oversee and coordinate the company’s transportation and fleet operations. The ideal candidate must have practical experience managing delivery vehicles within an FMCG distribution environment, with strong knowledge of route planning, vehicle maintenance, driver supervision, fuel management and delivery operations.

Key Responsibilities
Manage the company’s fleet of delivery and operational vehicles.
Plan and coordinate daily delivery schedules and routes.
Supervise drivers, ensuring compliance with delivery schedules and company procedures.
Monitor vehicle utilization, fuel consumption, mileage and maintenance.
Coordinate preventive and corrective vehicle maintenance.
Ensure vehicles are properly licensed, insured and roadworthy.
Monitor delivery turnaround times and vehicle availability.
Investigate and report vehicle accidents, breakdowns and operational incidents.
Maintain accurate records of vehicles, drivers, fuel usage, repairs and maintenance.
Work closely with the Warehouse, Sales and Operations teams to ensure timely deliveries.
Monitor driver performance, attendance and adherence to safety procedures.
Identify opportunities to reduce transportation costs and improve fleet efficiency.
Ensure compliance with company transport and safety policies.

Requirements
Bachelor's degree or HND in Transport Management, Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration or a related field.
3–5 years of relevant experience in transport/fleet management, preferably within an FMCG distribution company.
Proven experience managing delivery vehicles and drivers.
Good knowledge of route planning and distribution operations.
Experience with vehicle maintenance and fuel management.
Strong supervisory, organizational and problem-solving skills.
Good knowledge of road safety and transportation regulations.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple delivery requirements.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant operational tools.
