Heavy Duty Driver - Licence F

Location: Asylum Down, Accra

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled, responsible, and experienced Licence F Driver to operate cranes and other heavy-duty machinery safely and efficiently. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating assigned heavy-duty equipment, supporting lifting and material-handling activities, and ensuring all equipment is handled in accordance with safety and operational standards.

Key Responsibilities

Operate cranes and other heavy-duty machinery safely and efficiently.

Conduct pre-operation checks on assigned machinery and report faults or defects.

Safely lift, move, load, and position materials and equipment as instructed.

Follow approved operating procedures and workplace safety regulations.

Ensure proper positioning and stability of machinery before operation.

Work closely with site supervisors, riggers, technicians, and other team members.

Monitor machinery during operations and immediately report unusual sounds, faults, or safety concerns.

Maintain cleanliness and basic operational condition of assigned machinery.

Keep accurate records of equipment usage and operational activities where required.

Assist with routine maintenance checks and ensure scheduled servicing is observed.

Comply with all road, workplace, and company safety requirements.

Perform other duties related to heavy-duty equipment operation as assigned.

Requirements

Must possess a valid Driver’s Licence F.

Proven experience operating cranes and/or other heavy-duty machinery.

Practical knowledge of heavy-duty equipment operation and safety procedures.

Ability to carry out pre-operation inspections and identify basic equipment faults.

Good knowledge of workplace health and safety practices.

Ability to follow instructions and communicate effectively with supervisors and team members.

Must be physically fit and capable of working in demanding operational environments.

Must be reliable, punctual, disciplined, and safety-conscious.

Willingness to work overtime when required.
