History Teacher

• Teach History in accordance with the Cambridge IGCSE and A Level syllabi

• Design lesson plans, source-based activities, and assessments that build analytical and essay writing skills

• Guide students in historical research, source evaluation, and argument construction

• Track student progress and provide constructive, exam-focused feedback

• Adapt teaching methods and resources to suit a range of learning styles and abilities

• Encourage discussion, debate, and independent thinking on historical themes and events

• Work collaboratively with the humanities department on curriculum development

• Engage with parents and participate in school-wide activities and events

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in History, Education, or a related field (Master's degree an advantage)

• Recognized teaching qualification (PGCE, B. Ed, or equivalent)

• Minimum of 3 years teaching experience, with Cambridge curriculum experience strongly preferred

• Strong command of Cambridge History syllabi, examination requirements, and assessment objectives

• Demonstrated ability to diversify instructional strategies, materials, and assessments to engage a broad range of learners

• Excellent communication, classroom management, and analytical skills

• A passion for cultivating curiosity about the past and its relevance to the present
