Fractional Product Designer (UI/UX) — Nestadia
Remote (Ghana-based) · Part-Time / Project-Based · Fractional

About Nestadia
Nestadia is building the trust infrastructure for cross-border real estate. Diaspora buyers in the US, UK, Canada lose enormous sums trying to buy property "back home" — to fraud, fake titles, abandoned construction, and middlemen they can't verify from another continent. We close that gap with verified inspections, escrow protection, developer vetting, and buyer protection in one platform. We launch in Ghana first, then Kenya, then Nigeria.
We're pre-launch, building toward our MVP, and we're looking for a fractional product designer to help shape the experience before and through launch.

Why this design role is different
Nestadia's core challenge is designing trust: how do you make a buyer thousands of miles away feel safe enough to commit life-changing sums to a property they can't physically visit, through partners they've never met?
Every screen has to do emotional work as well as functional work — communicating verification, security, and protection without overwhelming the user. If designing confidence into a high-stakes financial decision excites you more than designing another dashboard, this role is for you.
Being based in Ghana is an advantage: you understand the local property context our partners operate in, while designing for diaspora users abroad — and you sit in a timezone that overlaps cleanly with our UK/EU users and works with the US.

The work, at a glance
You'll shape the end-to-end experience across a multi-sided platform — diaspora buyers, property developers, on-the-ground inspectors, legal partners, and our internal team. A core skill is designing for two very different contexts at once: diaspora users abroad and on-the-ground users in Ghana, including mobile-first and low-bandwidth conditions.
Expect to work across user journeys, wireframes and prototypes, responsive web interfaces, and a lightweight design system, in close collaboration with our engineering team.
(Full scope, the specific flows you'll own, and engagement terms are shared with shortlisted candidates after an initial call and a mutual confidentiality agreement. )

Qualifications

4+ years of product / UI/UX design experience.
Portfolio demonstrating end-to-end product design — the thinking, not just polished screens.
Experience with SaaS, marketplace, fintech, or other complex multi-step products.
Strong Figma skills, including prototyping and design systems.
Experience handing off buildable designs to engineering teams.

Strongly helpful: experience designing onboarding, payments, KYC/verification, or other trust- and security-sensitive flows · emerging-markets or mobile-first design · cross-border or cross-cultural products.

Engagement, briefly

Fractional / part-time — project-based or a monthly retainer, scope and hours agreed up front.
Competitive compensation, paid reliably on a schedule and method that work for you.
Design work product assigned to Nestadia; a simple confidentiality and IP-assignment agreement before kickoff.
