Role Overview:
We are seeking an entrepreneurial and operationally disciplined General Manager to lead a unique hybrid facility combining a 3- to 4-star hotel operation with an international credentialing and executive education centre. You will translate board-level strategy into annual plans, own the P&L, and drive both commercial hospitality and academic outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
Strategic & Commercial: Deliver ≥100% revenue growth and ≥25% EBITDA margin. Own the rolling 3-year business plan, pricing, and key corporate accounts.
Operations: Oversee hotel operations (F&B, housekeeping, security, engineering) to 3–4 star standards, plus academic programme delivery (course calendar, faculty quality, exam integrity).
Compliance & Risk: Act as risk owner, maintain ISO certifications (9001, 21001, 27001, 22000, 45001, 22301), and ensure full compliance with Ghanaian law (Labour Act, Data Protection, GRA, Tourism Levy).
People & Culture: Recruit and retain high-performing teams, champion a "learn-what-we-teach" culture, and ensure a safe, inclusive workplace.
External Relations: Represent the facility at ministerial, industry, and accrediting-body events. Build MoUs with universities and diaspora markets.


Key KPIs (Year 2 Targets):
Revenue growth vs. plan: ≥100%
EBITDA margin: ≥25%
First-attempt pass rate: ≥ global average
Cohorts delivered annually: ≥40
Net Promoter Score: ≥60
Zero major compliance non-conformities
Zero lost-time incidents

QUALIFICATIONS
First degree + Master’s (MBA or equivalent) in business, hospitality, education, engineering, or ICT.
5+ years’ progressive leadership, with 2+ years at GM/Director level with P&L accountability.
Track record running a 3–4 star hotel / conference venue OR a residential training / executive education institution.
Experience managing a budget of ≥USD 1 million and multi-functional teams of 25+.
Direct experience with ISO or international quality/accreditation standards.

Desirable:
PMP, PRINCE2, ISO Lead Auditor, or AHLEI hospitality credential.
Experience in West Africa (ideally Ghana) and with Ghanaian regulators (GTA, GRA, Data Protection Commission).
Pre-opening or commissioning experience.
Public-sector or corporate-sales experience.


Working Conditions:
On-site residential presence required during first 12 months.
Weekend work (Sundays for arrivals, Saturdays for exams) – compensated with time in lieu and performance bonus.
Regular domestic travel within Ghana; occasional international travel.
