Reporting Line: Directly reports to Sales Manager
Role Overview
As an Account Manager, you will be responsible for acquiring new clients and closing new Monthly Recurring Revenues (MRR). You will operate autonomously while collaborating closely with local Management, Marketing, and Operations teams, and, where necessary, HQ Marketing, Finance, and Legal teams.
This role involves building and maintaining relationships with decision-makers (up to C-suite level), negotiating contracts within management-approved boundaries, and ensuring seamless customer onboarding and handover.
Key Responsibilities
1. Sales Execution
- Develop and implement sales action plans to achieve or exceed set targets.
- Manage the entire sales cycle, from lead generation to deal closure.
- Analyse market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities to identify growth opportunities.
- Consistently achieve MRR targets.
2. Business Development & Relationship Management
- Build and maintain relationships with prospective and newly acquired clients, including C-suite decision-makers.
- Use LinkedIn, social media campaigns, cold calling, and industry events to generate new leads and opportunities.
- Represent our company at relevant local industry events to increase awareness of its value proposition.
3. Negotiation & Closing
- Identify, qualify, pursue, negotiate, and close new business opportunities.
- Conduct commercial and customer contract negotiations within delegated authority and predefined guidelines.
4. CRM & Pipeline Management
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date information on sales activities and customer interactions in ZohoCRM.
- Manage opportunities in line with established sales processes and standards.
- Ensure accurate pipeline forecasting and reporting.
5. Client Relationship Management
- Act as the primary point of contact for customers during immediate post-sales activities.
- Address customer inquiries and resolve escalations promptly and professionally.
- Prepare and oversee the seamless handover of closed business to the Customer Implementation/Operations team.

- New Monthly Recurring Revenues (MRR) signed.
- Timely customer invoicing and payment.
- High levels of customer satisfaction.
Experience, Knowledge & Qualification Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or IT-related field.
- 5+ years’ experience in consultative sales, preferably in IT services, data centres, telecoms, or network environments.
- Proven track record of closing deals, especially within the banking and insurance sectors.
- Strong business network and database of contacts within the financial industry.
- Ability to bring an existing pipeline of prospective customers.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills.
