Location: Accra

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Technical Sales Specialist with a strong background in the Oil & Gas sector. The ideal candidate will combine engineering expertise with exceptional sales acumen to promote technical products and solutions, engage key clients, and drive business growth across the upstream, midstream, and downstream markets.
Key Responsibilities
Technical & Product Expertise
- Demonstrate expert-level understanding of engineering solutions, industrial packaging products, and Oil & Gas equipment.
- Interpret technical specifications and recommend suitable products that meet client operational requirements.
- Conduct product demonstrations, site visits, and technical presentations to clients and stakeholders.
Sales & Business Development
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the Oil & Gas industry.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with procurement teams, engineers, and decision-makers.
- Prepare and submit technical proposals, quotations, and tender documents.
- Achieve sales targets consistently and contribute to revenue growth.
Client Engagement & Support
- Provide pre-sales and post-sales technical support.
- Work with internal engineering and production teams to ensure customer specifications are met.
- Address client feedback and resolve technical or service-related issues promptly.
Market Research & Reporting
- Track market trends, competitor products, and industry developments.
- Prepare weekly and monthly sales reports and forecasts for management.
- Participate in industry exhibitions, technical workshops, and networking events.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 5 years experience in technical sales within the Oil & Gas industry (mandatory).
- Strong understanding of engineering solutions, equipment, and products used in Oil & Gas operations.
- Proven record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, technical data, and client specifications.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in MS Office and CRM tools.
